Electronics

The Howard County Recycling District accepts electronics from Howard County daily during our regular business hours. There is a disposal fee of $10.00 per item for televisions, computer monitors, and all-in-one computer/monitor combos. There is no charge for laptops or tablets. Small quantity generators such as small  businesses, churches, not-for-profits, and government offices can bring small quanities of electronics for a fee. Contact us for pricing. Large quantities will be refered to our contractor.

Some items we accept:

The general rule is that if it plugs in or uses a battery, and isn’t  a major appliance or contain Freon, we probably take it. Here are some current examples of items we take:  VCRs – Audiovisual Equipment – Calculators – Cellular Phones – Circuit boards – Computers and its Peripherals – Consumer Electronics – Copiers – Disk drives – DVD Players/Writers – Fax Machines – Flashlights – Gaming hardware – Laptops – Mainframes – Modems – Monitors – Network hardware – Pagers – Printers – Irons – Vacuum Cleaners – Tape Drives – Telephones – Televisions – Typewriters – Wireless Devices – Lamps – Video Recorders – Microwaves – Cords and Wires – Remote Controls – Electronic Toys – Tanning Beds – Treadmills

We do not accept major appliances, window AC units, dorm size refrigerators,  gas motors, CDs, DVDs, or VCR tapes.

This facility is open every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8am to 4pm, Wednesday 1pm to 4pm we are closed weekends and major holidays. This facility is for Howard County Households only.
